Wine, Woman and Song

which I shall be faithful to my life long

The internationally successful baritone Riccardo Di Francesco, a singer with Austrian and Italian roots, is also committed to the motto "He who does not love wine, woman and song, remains a fool his whole life long"(Martin Luther). As a singer, you will find him on the operatic stage and at gala evenings in concert halls, and time and again as a performer of light and popular music. Out of love for good wine and for his second home, Tuscany, and knowing that small-scale winegrowers there cannot afford large sales structures, he came up with the idea of offering these wines, some of which are truly extraordinary,on the international wine market under the brand "Riccardo Di Francesco Selection".

So if you want to enjoy the perfect song, listen to Riccardo Di Francesco. As for the lovely wine, try "Riccardo Di Francesco Selection". As for the woman in your life – finding her will be up to you!

By purchasing special wines from family businesses, you are supporting these small-scale winegrowers. And what could be better than doing good while enjoying excellent wines and promoting art?

Felciatello, Azienda Agricola

The vineyard known as "Felciatello" is located between Cecina and Bibbona in Tuscany, near the very famous "wine town" of Bolgheri, where large Frescobaldi and Antinori vineyards are located. Compared to these, "Felciatello" may be a very small family business – but it produces top-notch wines. Riccardo Di Francesco has included four of these wines in the "Selection".

Frascole, Azienda Agricola

"Frascole" is a family business located in the Chianti Rufina area, about 30 minutes from Florence. The Lippi family runs an agriturismo with five self-catered apartments and produces organic wine and olive oil. Riccardo Di Francesco has chosen 4 wines from the complete range for his "Selection", a Chianti Rufina, a Chianti Rufina Riserva, a Merlot and a Pinot Nero.

Tuscany ORGANIC – NIJI White wine

NIJI is a Vermentino - white wine with 12% alcohol content; its bouquet is intense, fruity and fragrant, light, with little acidity – something for a change if you compare it with Austrian or German white wines.

Tuscany ORGANIC red wine - Merlot

This red wine brings together Merlot, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. Despite its 14% alcohol content, it feels very light and pleasing, even when it is not served with a full meal.

Tuscany ORGANIC red wine - Cabernet Franc

A noble blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Matured in barriques for a short period only,it is light and fruity despite its 14% alcohol content. It is highly recommended with light meals.

Tuscany ORGANIC red wine - Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the "heavier" red wines of Tuscany, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, mostly matured in barriques, with a full, fruity taste and around 14% in alcohol content. Goes well with a hearty piece of meat.

Tuscany ORGANIC red wine

The Chianti Rufina area is located to the north-east of Florence, extending northwards to the Apennines. Frascole Chianti is unique in that it is the highest vineyard in the Chianti area, which gives the wine its special taste. Recommended for Chianti lovers, a perfect match with a great main course.

Tuscany ORGANIC red wine

All Chianti DOCG wines are produced according to strict regulations, with a minimum content of 85% Sangiovese grapes. A Riserva is always given special treatment. It can be generally assumed that only half the quantity of normal Chianti wine is produced on the same surface area. This is of course reflected in better quality and a higher price. Recommended for Chianti lovers who want something special.

Tuscany ORGANIC red wine

Special attention is given to the highest quality, in the vineyard and in the maturing process alike. After fermentation and up to final maturation, this wine is stored in barriques for two years first, then in concrete tanks for one year and finally in the bottle for at least two years before it is sold. Produced from 100% Merlot grapes, this is specially recommended for Merlot lovers.

Tuscany ORGANIC red wine

Pinot Nero or Pinot Noir, also known as late burgundy, is considered to be among the top quality wines. The grape was brought to Tuscany from France centuries ago, yet it is still rarely cultivated. Its full bouquet unfolds after 30 to 60 minutes. With its ruby red colour and an alcohol content of almost 14%, it is ideal for meat dishes of game, duck, pheasant or beef.
