Concert programmesIn 2013 the regional association for retirees in the province of Upper Austria organised the first solo recital of Riccardo Di Francesco for the members of the association. Riccardo appeared before an enthusiastic audience of 800 at the Kürnberghalle of Leonding. Subsequently, all Upper Austrian district associations and local groups went on to organise concerts with Riccardo, all with a huge turnout and highly appreciative audiences. The success story continues and Riccardo Di Francesco now tours Austria regularly with additional concert programmes.
PROGRAMME AUNFORGOTTEN MELODIES“Unforgotten Melodies” is a recital in two parts with an intermission, each part with a special focus. The first part brings classical music to the audience – this part is jokingly called “unforgotten melodies for those who don’t go to the opera“. Riccardo always has a story to go with each song or aria, sung in German, with piano accompaniment. The second part is composed of “Hits from 10 years of Spring Meetings“, with Riccardo telling anecdotes from the trips to Rhodes, Crete, Tunisia, the Abruzzi mountains and Apulia and singing the best liked songs from those years. At the end, as was to be expected- “EVERYBODY GET UP, CLAP YOUR HANDS AND SWAY TO THE MUSIC!”

Riccardo sings the best known Christmas carols in traditional classical style and tells funny and pensive Christmas stories. The audience is encouraged to join in and sway to the music in between, and the concert finishes with a tranquil touch to get everybody in a Christmas mood.
