MONTERONE – from G. Verdi’s opera RIGOLETTO – Count Monterone, whose daughter has been seduced by the Duke of Mantua, appears at the festivities to call the Duke to account. Monteroneis told off by the Duke and mocked by Rigoletto. Monterone curses the Duke and Rigoletto and is arrested.
